Pay people to commute greener. Report it with confidence.
CommuteCredits lets employers fund a reward pool that pays staff real cash for walking or wheeling, cycling, taking transit or carpooling. Every GPS-verified trip also becomes audit-ready Scope 3 commuting data, so the perk doubles as compliance evidence.
Commute incentives and carbon reporting live in different worlds.
Employers want to cut commuting emissions and back their ESG goals. But today's incentive schemes are clunky and points-based, and they don't connect to the numbers you'll soon have to disclose.
Coming into scope
UK SRS S1/S2 bring Scope 3 into disclosure on a “comply or explain” basis, with FCA listing-rule adoption proposed from 1 January 2027.
Pulled in through the supply chain
Listed companies will send Scope 3 questionnaires down their supply chains. Smaller suppliers will face carbon data requests backed by regulation, not goodwill.
UK-native options
Existing commute-reward platforms are US-built, sold only to large enterprises, and run on points or gift cards. None of them speaks SECR, DESNZ factors or HMRC mileage rates.
From budget to board-ready report in five steps.
A perk your people enjoy, and a dataset your auditors can trust.
Fund a reward pool
Set a budget and a rate for each mode, anchored to the HMRC mileage rates everyone already knows: 45p/mile car, 20p/mile bike.
Employees log trips
GPS-verified tracking with automatic mode detection.
Rewards paid in cash
Payouts through Stripe or PayPal. No points to track and no gift cards to redeem.
Emissions calculated
Trips are converted into GHG Protocol–aligned Scope 3 figures using DESNZ conversion factors, with a documented methodology.
Export your report
One-click exports formatted for SECR and UK SRS, ready for your annual accounts or sustainability disclosures.
Every way of getting to work counts, including on wheels.
Mobility aid is a full travel mode: wheelchairs, powered chairs, mobility scooters and walking frames. Accessibility is a technical requirement for every release, not an optional extra.
Equal pay for every mile
A mile made with a mobility aid always earns the walking rate. Employers can't set it lower, even by accident.
Recognised at real speeds
Trips are accepted from walking pace up to 8 mph, the UK limit for Class 3 scooters and powered chairs. Set it once in your profile and it's applied to every trip.
Private by default
Employers only ever see “walk or wheel”. Nobody has to disclose a disability to take part.
Fair fraud checks
A powered chair's steady speed is never treated as spoofing, and heart rate is never used to judge a mobility-aid trip.
Our accessibility standard
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA. Our web dashboards are tested automatically against it on every change, and we test the phone and watch apps with VoiceOver and TalkBack before launch.
- Automated WCAG 2.2 A and AA checks on the web dashboards, in light and dark themes and at phone width
- Phone app layouts designed to stay usable at 200% text size
- Colour is never the only signal: every mode and status also has a text label
- Inclusive mode names: cycling includes handcycles and trikes, and walking includes canes and crutches
Get ahead of the reporting curve instead of scrambling in 2027.
Scope 3 disclosure isn't mandatory yet, but it will soon be “comply or explain”. Companies that start collecting data now will have a defensible baseline by the time they need one.
Built for assurance
Under the incoming ISSA (UK) 5000 assurance standard, estimated and unsourced emissions figures will be scrutinised. GPS-verified, timestamped trip records are a much stronger audit trail than postcode-based estimates.
Works alongside Cycle to Work
Cycle to Work gets people onto bikes. CommuteCredits adds cash rewards for actually riding them, and for every other sustainable mode too.
The UK reporting timeline
SECR
Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting is the current mandatory baseline for large UK companies.
UK SRS S1 & S2
UK Sustainability Reporting Standards are available for voluntary use. This is the window to get ahead.
FCA listing rules
Proposed adoption for listed companies brings Scope 3 in on a “comply or explain” basis.
Supply-chain cascade
Listed companies push Scope 3 questionnaires to their suppliers, and SMEs need credible data of their own.
See what a reward pool could cost and what it would save.
Move the sliders to get an indicative annual figure. In the product, you set your own rates and cap the pool.
Indicative only. Assumes each trip replaces a solo average-car journey and uses approximate DESNZ-style factors (car ≈ 0.27 kgCO₂e/mile). Example rates: bike, walk and mobility aid 20p, transit 10p, carpool 5p per mile. Your report will use the current published DESNZ conversion factors.
Start with rewards. Add compliance when you need it.
Platform fees are separate from your reward pool, which you fund and control. Pricing depends on headcount, so get in touch for a quote.

A perk and a compliance asset, built for the UK.
Here's how we compare with the US-built commute-incentive platforms on the market today.
| CommuteCredits | Typical US incentive platforms | |
|---|---|---|
| Reward type | Cash via Stripe / PayPal | Points and gift cards |
| Rate setting | Anchored to HMRC mileage rates | Arbitrary points values |
| Verification | GPS-verified, timestamped trips | Self-reported or survey-based |
| Emissions data | GHG Protocol Scope 3, DESNZ factors | Generic or US EPA factors |
| Reporting | SECR and UK SRS-ready exports | Not built for UK frameworks |
| Mobility aids | A full mode, paid at parity with walking | Rarely a distinct mode |
| Who can buy | Self-serve SMEs through to enterprise | Enterprise sales only |
